Thanks Dan. There’s never a guarantee that you’ll see an iceberg but so far we’ve been lucky to see one every day. We are calling this trip a HUGE success 🙂
I had REALLY hoped for an up-close experience with an iceberg and my wishes came true! Need I say I had a ridiculous smile on my face the entire time? 😉
Probably in the world of icebergs this one was pretty small. We were quite far south at this point and they are melting pretty quickly … but I was THRILLED!!
This was THE primary reason I wanted to come to Newfoundland at this time of year. I too had never seen an iceberg and it was on my list of must-dos. Every sighting of an iceberg has been a thrill, but getting up close like this was unbelievable!
The only disappointment in the trip has been that Deb really wanted to see a whale. We knew it was going to be a long shot since it’s still early in the season, but she’s been teased with reports that there have been a few whale sightings in the past week. Sadly, not for her, although it hasn’t been from lack of trying.
